STRANGERS ON A TRAIN

A monthly reading series devoted to creating dialogue between writers and writing groups.  Held at the Kino Cafe (3456 Cambie St.), each event features writers from a variety of genres and backgrounds including student writers. The next event takes place on September 26 and will feature readings by Anne Simpson, ryan fitzpatrick, Daniel Poirier, and Marc Perez.

BOOKSHARE

Find your next favourite book or share a book you love. We have fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, plays, poetry, films and even video games. Come by our community bookshelf on the third floor of the A Building, outside room A301.


W49 MAGAZINE

Submit your best creative non-fiction, short stories or poetry to the annual Langara College Writing Contest, and you could be published in W49 Magazine.

Presented by Langara’s English 1130 class (“Modern Novel, Poetry and Film”). Film screenings are open to the public.
