Providing a safe and healthy workplace is a priority of Langara College. In the unlikely event that you are injured in the course of your duties, it is important for you to report the injury to your supervisor/employer.

Leaders can report the incident by following these steps:
  1. Sign into Workday and open the “Health and Safety” module using the dashboard menu. Or search “Report Safety Incident” in Workday.
  2. Select “Report Safety Incident.” Refer to the job aid Incident Report
  3. Complete all mandatory fields in the form to the best of their knowledge and submit.
  4. The Leader may then be asked to conduct a preliminary investigation to identify causes and undertake corrective actions to remove or mitigate future risk for injury/exposure in collaboration with Health and Safety representatives.
  5. Employees who sought medical aid or have lost time from work due to their injury or illness, will need to complete an Employee Report of Injury Form 6 with WorkSafeBC.
