UBC's Bachelor of Science program in Food, Nutrition and Health offers several majors that students can choose from to parallel their educational goals and career interests. In order to specialize in a major, students must first be accepted into UBC's Faculty of Land & Food Systems and then apply to their intended major.

Langara has an agreement with UBC's Faculty of Land & Systems to help students wishing to transfer into the BSc Food, Nutrition and Health program at UBC. It is recommended to follow this pathway when possible to increase your chances of acceptance to UBC. Students not meeting the transfer requirements can apply as general transfer students to UBC, but there is no preferred admission status given for this pathway.

The recommended pathway to UBC's BSc in Food, Nutrition & Health program is:

  1. Enroll in Langara's Associate of Science degree in Food & Nutrition program to complete prerequisites and admission requirements for Step 2.
  2. Apply to and complete Langara's Diploma in Food, Nutrition and Health Transfer
  3. Apply to UBC's Faculty of Land and Food Systems (if transfer requirements are met) to gain preferred entry to their Food, Nutrition and Health major.

You may contact Monica Molag (mmolag@langara.ca) for further options on transferring to UBC Food, Nutrition & Health program.

Students are encouraged to plan their prerequisites and courses thoroughly and well in advance of their intended transfer date to ensure they have completed all necessary requirements.
