Note: If this is your second or third time on academic suspension, you are not eligible to take the Langara Return to Learning (LRTL) course for early re-admission.
Are you currently on Academic Suspension?
It can be very upsetting to be placed on academic suspension, however, we encourage you to view this experience as an opportunity to develop new approaches to your studies that will help you to be more successful in the future. Langara College has an Academic Standing policy that governs how your academic performance is assessed.
If this is your first time on academic suspension at Langara College, you are not permitted to register for three consecutive semesters. However, you may be eligible to appeal for early readmission if you complete Langara's Return to Learning (LRTL) course. Under this option, early re-admission is not guaranteed and you will still be required to sit-out for a minimum of one semester while you complete the LRTL course.
LRTL is a free, online course designed to help you reflect on and evaluate the circumstances and decisions that led or contributed to your academic suspension. The course will also teach you effective learning, study and time-management strategies and how to access various college services to support your future academic success.
Completing this course is not mandatory, but is required if you wish to appeal for early re-admission.
