Simon Fraser University offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a Major in Kinesiology

  • Students transferring to Simon Fraser University for the Kinesiology major will first apply into the Faculty of Science at SFU. Once accepted, students will work towards completing the required coursework for internal transfer to the Kinesiology major. Students will need to plan ahead for this transfer and are encouraged to review SFU's internal transfer process in addition to connecting with an advisor at SFU.
  • For students transferring core courses from another post-secondary institution, only courses completed at SFU (and not previously completed elsewhere) are used in the Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology admission GPA. Transfer students are therefore strongly advised to transfer to SFU before completing all lower division requirements. Applicants must leave themselves 15 credits of core science and psychology courses to take at SFU to form the basis of their Appoval GPA.
  • Note, a Biomedical Physiology major program is not a terminal degree - it doesn't immediately qualify you for a particular position. Most often, students pursue further education beyond this major program, whether in research or professional education settings.
