Langara Diagnostic Tests for pre-requisites

  • There are three options for the B.Ed. program: an Education Major, two Minors or an Extended Minors, or an Education Honours. Each program has its own requirements.
  • Students apply for admission to this program once they have accrued a total of 60 credits. Once admission has been granted, the student's program must be approved by the Faculty of Education. Major or minor requirements also must be approved by the department(s) in which these requirements are administered.
  • To complete the program students must complete 150 credits, including an approved application to the Professional Development Program (PDP).
  • Students must also complete the Writing (W), Quantitative (Q) and Breadth (B) requirements for graduation.
  • Students at Langara are advised to take lower division course work toward their major and their electives until they are ready to transfer to SFU.

Students should refer directly to SFU's Chart of Acceptable Courses (COAC) for an up-to-date Langara-to-SFU course transfer list.
