How can we support you?

At Counselling Services, we are part of a team that offers the Langara Return To Learning (LRTL) course-- a free online, self-paced program that provides an opportunity for early re-admission if you’ve recently received an academic suspension notice.

The LRTL course helps you reflect on the factors contributing to your suspension while teaching effective learning, study, and time-management strategies. You’ll also learn how to access college resources to support your future academic success.

Academic Suspension and LRTL

Being placed on academic suspension can be challenging, but it’s also an opportunity to develop new approaches that can lead to greater success. Langara College’s Academic Standing policy guides how your performance is evaluated.

If this is your first suspension at Langara College, you’ll be unable to register for three consecutive semesters. However, by completing the LRTL course, you may be eligible to appeal for early re-admission. This does not guarantee early re-admission, and you must still sit out for at least one semester while completing the course.

Please note that if this is your second or third suspension, you are not eligible to take the LRTL course for early re-admission.
