- Gillian's main areas of interest are in anatomy and physiology
- Her clinical practice is in outpatient orthopaedics and she is a trained anatomist with expertise in cadaveric dissection

- Gillian is passionate about helping students gain admission to healthcare professional programs and runs experiential learning opportunities & workshop series to help prepare students for the admission and interview process
- She works in an outpatient orthopaedic clinic in Burnaby treating patients of all ages and a variety of MSK conditions
- Gillian's graduate studies were focused on the biomechanical and histological properties of the newly discovered anterolateral ligament of the knee and its role in controlling anterolateral rotation in ACL-deficient knees
- Her work has been published in Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, and has been presented at Experimental Biology, The Canadian Bone & Joint Conference, The Canadian Society of Biomechanics, and The American Society of Biomechanics

Sport / Activity Background / Hobbies
- Gillian enjoys any, and all, activities around or on the water and spends her weekends exploring the craft beer and food scene in Vancouver
