SportAbility BC Volunteer Opportunity

SportAbility BC is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting adapted sports and physical activity for individuals with disabilities. We are the provincial sport organization for para (sledge) hockey, Boccia, powerchair soccer and para soccer. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to volunteer their time and skills to support our programs and events.

Volunteer opportunities include: coaching, refereeing, scorekeeping, recreational program leads and event planning! All opportunities are flexible and give volunteers an opportunity to work hands on with para athletes.

Volunteering with SportAbility is a rewarding experience that allows you to:

·       Develop valuable skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork.

2025 Canadian Francophone Games

We are currently recruiting French-speaking coaches to join Équipe CB for various sport disciplines, including track and field, basketball, badminton, flag football, ultimate frisbee, and beach volleyball. The games will take place July 12th-20th 2025. 

The Canadian Francophone Games (JeuxFC) is a pan-Canadian event held every three years. The JeuxFC brings together 1200 French-speaking youth aged 14 to 18 from across Canada to compete in various disciplines and win medals for their province. Participants and coaches representing British Columbia will have the chance to go to Laval, Quebec, for one week to compete as well as participate in activities and social events to meet other Francophone youth from different provinces.

The registration fee for the 2025 edition of the JeuxFC is $600.
This amount includes :
transportation to Laval, Quebec (plane and bus)
accommodation (a total of 9 days)
food (a total of 9 days)
participants' uniforms
pre-games assembly camps
year-round practices


Our aim is to encourage all young people to take part, and we don't want financial problems to prevent participation. If these costs are in any way an obstacle to your participation, we'll help you find a solution. Apply here today!
