Langara supports research and scholarly activity through a number of funds, particularly the President’s Innovation Fund. The College's recently achieved eligibility for funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) also allows us to take advantage of federal monies set aside specifically for research at colleges. Langarans are also now permitted to apply to the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) for funding in the arts (that is, social sciences, humanities, and creative arts), business/management, human and social development, and education, as well as some aspects of information and communications technology and health studies.
