Depart for Italy: Arrival at Catania-Fontanarossa International Airport on May 18. 

May 18 - 21, 2020

Catania, Sicily: Stay in the second largest city in Sicily, known for its Baroque architecture.  Bus to the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento; savour Sicilian pasta and mouthwatering pastries; learn about the impacts of Mount Etna on Sicily; visit Catania's Norman castle (Castello Ursino); explore Syracuse's spectacular museum and historical centre; plus enjoy various cultural activities and free time. 

May 22 - 25, 2020

Naples: Originally founded by ancient Greeks, the colourful city of Naples is famous for its museums, pizza, and people.  Experience the bustling Neopolitan life; take the train to Pompeii and climb Mt. Vesuvius; eat the best pizza in the world with exquisite tomatoes grown in the local volcanic soils; descend 40m into underground Naples; plus enjoy various cultural activities and free time.

May 26 - 29, 2020

Rome:  Visit the Eternal City, and wander the streets of Trastevere and the banks of the Tiber river; enter the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and other monuments of the Roman Empire; experience the transcendent beauty of St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican; plus enjoy various cultural activities and free time.

May 30 - June 2, 2020

Venice: In La Serenissima (the Serene Republic), wander the streets, squares, canals and bridges (allegedly 340 in all) of this unique maritime city; learn about the history of masks in Venetian culture and Carnival at a seminar and paint your own mask at a mask-making workshop; plus enjoy various cultural activities and free time.

Return to Canada or embark on independent journeys in Italy and/or Europe.
