When to Apply

  • Deadline for European Field Studies in Italy applications: February 15, 2023 (Update Feb. 16, 2023: Program is now full)
  • $500 non-refundable deposit must accompany application form

We have a maximum number of participants, so apply early!

Deposits are non-refundable unless your application is not accepted, or if the program is cancelled.

**NOTE: The instructors will require more information and applicants will be invited to an individual interview with the instructors before your application is accepted**

Please submit the following application package by February 15, 2023 (Update Feb. 16, 2023: Program is now full):

  • Application form
  • Deposit cheque for $500.00 payable to Langara College (payment can also be made online or by debit card at Student Accounts).
  • Additional information to instructors (see below)

Please also email a statement of interest (as a pdf file) and an unofficial transcript to the instructors (kerdos@langara.ca and jknapp@langara.ca).

The statement of interest should address why you are interested in the European Field Studies in Italy program.  It should be between 1 and 1.5 pages, double spaced.

If you have other education or experience, or if you are relatively new to Langara, you may choose to submit your unofficial high school transcripts and/or a CV in addition.

Once you have submitted your statement of interest and transcript(s), we will contact you regarding interview times.

Once your application is received, your non-refundable deposit will be processed. The remaining balance of the program fee must be paid by March 15, 2023. Tuition is paid separately in April on the regular deadline for summer semester.

Applicants who are not current Langara College students must complete a Langara College application form, submit their high school or college/university transcripts, and pay a $40.00 non-refundable application fee.

Langara College will issue a receipt for a portion of the Program Fees, which may be used as an educational tax deduction.

INDEMNITY

Each participant must sign a release form that allows the College, its employees and Instructors to be free of liability in respect of this Study Abroad program. Participants under the age of 19, must have the Application and Release Forms signed by a parent or legal guardian.
