Application Process
In order to be eligible for the program, you must:
- be a resident of British Columbia
- be admitted to Langara if you have not previously been accepted into a Regular Studies program at the college
- be 19 years of age or older at least two weeks before the start of the program
Application process:
- application deadline: February 7, 2025
- early acceptance may be offered to students who have completed their applications and interviews prior to the deadline
- a limited number of seats are available, so apply early!
Current and past regular studies Langara students must:
- complete and submit a Field Studies Application Form and Statement of Interest by February 7, 2025
- pay a non-refundable $500 deposit* once your eligibility for the program is confirmed (see above)
- submit additional documents and attend an interview with the program instructors
- wait for notification of their final acceptance/non-acceptance into the program
- if accepted, pay the balance of the Field Study program fee by February 14, 2025; and the tuition and student union fees by April 11, 2025.
New applicants to Langara must:
- check and meet Langara’s admission requirements
- Domestic Students: Langara. Admissions: Apply to Langara
- International Students: International Admissions – Langara Global
- submit an application and supporting documentation to the college
Note: When completing your application, you should indicate that you want to be admitted into the open-enrollment, Associate of Arts or Associate of Science program (unless you are planning to continue as a Regular Studies student in another program at Langara, in which case, you should apply for admission to that program).
- pay the application fee ($40 for domestic students and $155 for international students)
- receive and accept their Offer of Admission
- email a copy of their Langara acceptance letter to globalengagement@langara.ca
- complete and submit a Field Studies Application Form and Statement of Interest by February 7, 2025
- pay a non-refundable $500 deposit* once you are deemed eligible for the program
- submit additional documents and attend an interview with the program instructors if required
- wait for notification of their final acceptance/non-acceptance into the program
- if accepted, pay the balance of the Field Study program fee by February 14, 2025; and the tuition and student union fees by April 11, 2025.
* the deposit is non-refundable unless a student is not accepted into the program or the program is cancelled
