Attend a Workshop

Attend a workshop to gain a better understanding of academic integrity with the goal of preventing errors that can affect your grades and academic success. Students who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of completion.

Workshop topics include:
  • examples of cheating and plagiarism in the post-secondary world
  • resources available to students struggling with academic work
  • studying and organizational strategies to avoid academic misconduct
  • scenarios about collaborating, use of artificial intelligence tools, online resources, and open-book exams
  • the official and unofficial consequences of academic misconduct

Workshops scheduled for the Fall 2024 Semester.

  • Friday September 20 from 11am-12:30pm (via Zoom) (FULL)
  • Wednesday October 9 from 2pm-3:30pm (via Zoom) (FULL)
  • Monday November 4 from 10am-11:30am (via Zoom) (FULL)
  • Thursday November 28 from 1:30pm-3pm (viz Zoom)

All students who complete this workshop will receive a free $10 Tim Horton's or Starbucks gift card and a completion certificate.

 

Please note: if you have completed this workshop once and received a gift card already, you will not be eligible to receive one again for attending. You are welcome to attend again for educational purposes only.
