Seminar title: Lessons Learned and New Ways Forward – From Indigenizing the Curriculum to EDI Virtual Reality Training in Langara’s Early Childhood Education Program
In 2019, Langara’s ECE department embarked on a journey with the support of a Musqueam Community Committee to research and Indigenize a course in their early childhood education program. In 2023, the ECE department began a three-year project to develop a virtual reality application to support ECE students’ learning regarding decolonization, reconciliation, and anti-biased and social justice practices.
In this speaker series presentation, Carolyn Wing will discuss both research projects funded through Employment and Social Development Canada. The presentation will be followed with a Q&A and refreshments.
