The Engineering department in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at UBC offers concentrations in Chemical, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Integrated Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mining Engineering.

Langara students have the option of enrolling into the Langara Engineering Certificate Program, the Applied Science for Engineering Diploma program, or into a Science program for the purpose of completing their first year of studies toward an Engineering degree at UBC.

The Faculty of Applied Sciences participates in the UBC-Langara Aboriginal Transfer Partnership (ATP). Please refer to the website for further details.

Science Program, Transfer to Engineering

Applicants who have taken at least 27 credits of transferable, first year sciences are eligible to be considered for UBC Engineering if they have achieved the university’s standards of admission. To determine exemptions for first year Engineering courses, please consult the UBC calendar or UBC Department of Engineering.
