About Tilly
My work is about people, about igniting conversations about inclusion and about building those connections. The buzzwords “Diversity, equity, and inclusion” are at the forefront of so many conversations but my work goes beyond that. For me it’s about championing the communities and groups of people that haven’t yet had a moment to flourish.
As a Commercial Photographer based between Vancouver & Toronto (Canada) and London (England) I strive to work with companies and brands that have a depth of meaning. I want to be the photographer that’s known for my delicate and joyful approach whilst being able to empathize and produce work that people stop and really look at.
After working with people with disabilities from a young age, it was no surprise that as my commercial work grew, my fight for inclusion and representation also grew. In 2022 I was a part of the core team that created Canada’s first exclusively inclusive talent agency and now work closely with the 2 biggest inclusive talent agencies in the world. Together we have been a part of conversations about inclusion for international campaigns.
In 2024 I was awarded Official Selection in the International Photography Awards, shortlisted in the finalists for the Communication Arts awards and also accepted the position as Langara College’s first Artist in residence. My solo exhibition was a part of the 2024 Capture Photography Festival. I have also been named as one of Vancouvers Best Portrait Photographers by Best in Vancouver.
