This is where you come in
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. With the growth across our organization, it’s clear we are not slowing down anytime soon. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to managing transactions with our commercial accounts and our franchise partners. This position is located at our Vancouver corporate office, the Junktion.

What you’ll do

  • Process commercial accounts’ transactions including invoicing, batch postings, adjustment entries and EFT file preparation
  • Process Franchise Partners’ transactions including monthly franchise fee invoicing, batch posting, adjustment entries, refunds and EFT file preparation
  • Manage all unapplied over, short and duplicate payments investigations
  • Resolve commercial accounts and Franchise Partners billing- and payment-related inquiries
  • Perform account analysis and collections on commercial accounts including generating aging listings for all commercial accounts
  • Assist on month-end AR closing for 1-800-Got-Junk?, WOW 1Day Painting, and You Move Me companies
  • Provide support on systems and/or ad hoc projects

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum one year of experience working in an accounting or finance capacity
  • Experience working with accounts receivable
  • Student in either the CMA, CGA or CA (CPA) program preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and relationship building skills
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency a must
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience working with Great Plains a strong asset
