Why attend an information session?
Information sessions will give you an overview of the experience here at Langara. These sessions are hosted by Langara Recuiting, but will include representatives from the department as well. You will be able to meet our people and get a sense of who we are to make a more informed decision.
What do I need to do to prepare?
Look at the programs on our website to see which ones you're most interested in. Remember - you don't have to commit, it's just an information session! As you review the program page, have a piece of paper and pen, or a take notes in notepad and write down the questions you might have about that program. Then, bring that paper/notes to the information session.
We're always happy to get lots of questions! We promise to be prepared. And, if we don't know the question in the information session, we are happy to follow-up and contact you with the answer when we locate it.
What is the difference between an info session and a campus tour?
The main difference is that the information session is a focussed time on a specific program with individuals from that program there to answer questions. Plus - any prosepective student can attend because many are on zoom.
A campus tour is a walk around campus learning about the amenities and what is available to you when you're a student here.
Accounting
Are you, or someone you know, considering taking some accounting classes or considering accounting as a career? Or maybe you want to own your own business some day or get into management? Understanding accounting is critical to all organizations - profit, not-for-profit, teams, and managers.
This is your opportunity to talk to the Financial Management Department and it's Chair.
