The Aboriginal Studies Program is a teaching program that addresses both traditional and contemporary Aboriginal issues. The faculty come from a wide variety of backgrounds including traditional knowledge, education, business, human relations, psychology, history, law and culture. Each faculty member is committed to encouraging students in exploring skills development, Aboriginal life, history, community relations, challenges and planning for the future. The Department focuses on studies of colonization, culture and identity, law, women, global Indigenous issues, community development, traditional knowledge government policy and self determination. Students are fully supported and mentored.
