Students take any 12 credits in 100- or 200-level ARTH. ARTH 101 and/or 102 are strongly recommended as an introduction to the discipline. Students may count 6 credits of VISA towards these 12 credits.
Students may enter the Major program upon the completion of at least 3 credits in 100- or 200-level Art History and the accumulation of at least 27 credits

1 Six credits of VISA (Fine Arts Studio, FINA, courses) may be used toward the required 12 credits of 1st and 2nd year Art History major. However, most studio courses at Langara are usually restricted to Fine Arts Diploma students.

Students are strongly recommended to take ARTH 101 and/or ARTH 102. Students can take these courses after transferring into UBC, as Langara does not offer the equivalent courses.
