Environmental Science, Faculty of Environment, SFU
Simon Fraser University offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a Major in Environmental Science.
- Students can also complete an Honours degree.
- This program provides a broad education with specialization in one of the following four areas of concentration:
- Applied Biology: Study of ecology, whole-organism biology, and applied conservation biology
- Environmental Earth Systems: Study of environmental processes and systems, plus development of technical skills in quantitative methods, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing
- Environmetrics: Design of monitoring networks and the development of complex experimental designs related to environmental problems
- Water Science: Study of hydrologic, climate and aquatic science, complemented by courses in social science and law (governance)
- Each area of concentration has the required courses, listed below, in addition to their own concentration-specific requirements.
