Objective of the Agreement

The objectives of this Agreement as set out in Schedule A are to determine the principles, guidelines, procedures and requirements governing admission and assessment of qualified graduates from the College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma to enter Year 3 of the Bachelor of Recreation Management at Langara College.

This agreement outlines the principles, guidelines, and procedures governing admission and assessment of qualified applicants for entry to Langara College’s Bachelor of Recreation Management following successful completion of the College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma.

Course Requirement and Equivalencies:

Langara College agrees to facilitate the block transfer of graduates of the Recreation Management Diploma from the College of the Rockies with appropriate prerequisite qualifications into the Bachelor of Recreation Management program. By this agreement, applicants from the College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma program who meet the requirements outlined below will be eligible for admission into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Recreation Management, providing they meet all other entrance requirements and space remains in the Bachelor of Recreation Management classes.

College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma graduates will be awarded the following Langara College credits:

Langara College agrees to awarding 9 credits of direct transfer credit for the courses noted in above and to award a block transfer of 51 credits in recognition of the full 60 credit value of the College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma program toward the Bachelor of Recreation Management, such that College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma graduates will not be obliged to take additional qualifying courses.

Students must successfully complete the College of the Rockies Recreation Management Diploma program, with a minimum “C” (2.00/4.33) GPA to be considered for admission.

Langara College retains the right to limit the number of students admitted under this agreement.
