Vancouver, BC - snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College is pleased to introduce the 2023 Accessibility Plan, our first institutional plan in support of the Accessible British Columbia Act. We are proud that our plan includes the perspectives and values the needs of those with lived experiences of accessibility barriers.

The College’s Accessibility Plan is an important part of our continual work toward a more inclusive campus, and compliance is required of all post-secondary institutions in BC.

"Langara continues its commitment to being an accessible campus and reducing barriers to higher education," says Dr. Debbie Schachter, Associate Vice-President, Students and Co-chair, Accessibility Committee.

"Following the Accessible British Columbia Act, we are pleased to have our first Accessibility Plan that has a focus on identifying and improving understanding of barriers to access and access needs at the College. Through the Plan, we commit to the goal of being an accessible institution for students, employees, and community members."

The work of developing our Accessibility Plan involves our College community on a holistic level, which is reflected in the cross-campus representation on our Accessibility Plan Committee. We thank all those who collaborated on developing a vision for accessibility at Langara College.

We can all contribute toward creating a more accessible campus. Read more about our Accessibility Plan and share your feedback about accessibility barriers you have seen or experienced.
