Health sciences is an interdisciplinary field in which graduates with a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science can find careers in science, global health, or public policy, or can continue their studies in graduate school.
Students completing this Associate of Arts Degree will be prepared to continue studying at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Health Sciences in pursuit of the Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences. Students in pursuit of the Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences may also want to consult this calendar for the Diploma in Arts and Science (Health Sciences: Arts).
Students interested in pursuing SFU's Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences may also want to consult this calendar for the Associate of Science Degree in Health Sciences or the Diploma in Arts and Science (Health Sciences: Sciences).

When choosing courses, students should consult the curriculum of the general Associate of Arts Degree to ensure they meet requirements for graduation.
Students planning to transfer into a Bachelor of Arts, HSCI at SFU are advised to use the BC Transfer Guide regarding SFU's quantitative, breadth, and writing requirements for electives and meet with both the SFU Faculty of Health Science advisor and the Langara HSCI department chair.
Students planning to transfer into the SFU HSCI Bachelor of Arts program must take a total of eight second year HSCI courses, of which HSCI 2204, 2207, 2220, and 2230 are required.
