House of Teachings
Langara College – snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ – is a place of beginnings, of belonging, and of impact. In 2016, the College was honoured to receive the name snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓, meaning “House of Teachings” in the traditional hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language of the Musqueam people, on whose unceded territory Langara is located.
This name is more than a symbol – it’s a responsibility. It reflects our commitment to learning that is grounded in respect, care, and connection. It reminds us that education is not just about information – it's about transformation.
