Help shape the future of health care in BC.

Each year, hundreds of aspiring nurses choose Langara for our reputation for excellence, real-world clinical learning, and deep connections to BC’s health care system. Our nursing students don’t just study here – they grow into capable, compassionate professionals who care for our communities.

But BC’s health care system is in crisis. Nurses are burnt out, overextended, and in short supply. According to the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions:

  • 50% of nurses currently wish to change jobs
  • 94% show signs of burnout
  • 219.8% increase in nursing vacancies in five years

Langara is stepping up. We’re expanding all of our nursing programs by 50% by 2026. That means more students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Nursing Practice in Canada programs – and a need for more instructors, more simulation labs, and more support.

Langara nurses consistently rank among Canada’s best. Our BSN grads have an average NCLEX pass rate of 98%, and 81% are employed within three months of graduation. They learn by doing – starting in high-fidelity simulation suites that mimic real-life clinical settings, supported by experienced educators and strong partnerships with health authorities.

But we urgently need to grow. Your gift will:

  • Help us double the size of our simulation centre
  • Fund critical equipment and innovative technology for training
  • Provide scholarships and bursaries so students can study full-time without financial hardship

Langara nursing students consistently demonstrate strong preparation and adaptability, moving confidently into their chosen specialties.

Langara’s Faculty of Nursing is more than a program – it’s a House of Healing within Langara’s House of Teachings. With your support, we can prepare more nurses who are ready, resilient, and rooted in care.
