Determinants and Experiences of Indigenous Peoples' Health

Students learn about the historical, intergenerational and present-day effects of colonization that impact Indigenous Peoples' health. Students explore topics through an Indigenous worldview and examine their own values, assumptions, and motivations when engaging in health sciences and public health work. Through a combination of discussion, critical analysis, reflection, lectures and interactive learning, students determine their goals for action with Indigenous Peoples and communities.
