Courses

Fields such as pharmaceutical development, food and beverage manufacturing, environmental and forensic testing, environmental engineering, chemical manufacturing, and biological sciences require chemical identification and quality analysis.

In this micro-credential program, learners gain the skills to pursue hands-on jobs in science and engineering related fields. The program targets key analytical lab skills that are necessary for work in laboratories in all industries that need chemical identification and quality analysis and monitoring.

The micro-credential program is suitable for recent high school graduates, as well as individuals seeking entry into science technician employment. Students learn how to accurately use and maintain lab glassware and instruments, complete sample preparation according to Standard operating Procedures, and utilize digital lab tools and information management systems to accurately record samples, analyses, and instrument maintenance.

The Applied Analytical Laboratory Skills micro-credential program ladders into the High-Performance Liquid Chromatograph micro-credential program as a means of fulfilling the admissions requirements for that micro-credential. Each program consists of three stackable micro-credential courses.
