Are a recent high school graduate interested in science careers and want to build confidence in the lab
Want to enter the workforce as a laboratory or science technician
Are exploring pathways into chemistry, biotech, or engineering
Need foundational lab skills to move into more advanced training
What you’ll learn
By completing this micro-credential, you will be able to;
- Safely work in a laboratory using industry regulations and best practices
- Use and maintain lab glassware and core analytical instruments
- Prepare samples following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform accurate measurements, calibrations, and dilutions
- Manage lab workflows and maintain sample traceability
- Use digital lab tools and information systems to document results
- Maintain accurate records of analysis, equipment use, and maintenance
Program structure
- Format: In-person, part-time
- Length: Program length is minimum 3 months.
- Structure: 3 micro-courses with a total of 15 hours for each course
- Pathway: Ladders directly into the High-Performance Liquid Chromatography micro-credential
