The Langara Chemistry department is comprised of dedicated faculty members and laboratory demonstrators with academic and industrial expertise in a wide range of specialties, including organic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and environmental chemistry.
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide a quality education in a small classroom setting of 24 to 40 students. Our interactive classroom setting allows students to connect with their instructors on an individual basis. Weekly laboratory sessions are coupled to each course with dedicated lab demonstrators. Students receive practical hands-on lab experience with direct use of instruments such as UV spectrometers, IR, and NMR. This comprehensive education both in the classroom and the laboratory ensures students are well-prepared to pursue further studies.
