More than 50 years of experience
For more than five decades, Langara Homestay has welcomed students into caring homes and supported them throughout their experience in Vancouver. As one of Canada’s longest-running homestay programs and the longest-serving official homestay provider for the Vancouver School Board and Burnaby School District, we’ve built trusted relationships with host families, schools, and educational partners across the community.
24/7 Emergency support
Unexpected situations can happen. That's why emergency assistance is available 24/7. Our after-hours support is managed by Langara staff who understand the program and are ready to help when needed.
Support when you need it
Starting life in a new home can bring challenges. That’s why our support continues throughout your stay. Our experienced team stays connected, provides guidance, and helps address questions or concerns along the way. Many of our team members have lived, studied, or worked abroad, so they understand the challenges of adapting to a new environment and can offer guidance based on experience.

Unlike many private homestay providers, Langara Homestay is operated by Langara College, a public post-secondary institution. Our focus is on student success. We work closely with students, host families, and educational partners to create a supportive experience throughout your studies.
