Program option notes (Effective Fall Semester 2026)
The Associate of Science Degree in Biology is designed for efficient transfer to UBC and SFU programs in biology. Other biology-related programs, such as microbiology, biochemistry, plant science, etc. may have unique course requirements in first and second year.
Students intending to complete an Associate of Science Degree and then transfer to another BC institution should consult with an Academic Advisor at Langara for assistance with course planning and preparing to transfer.
Students should also consult with the institution offering these programs to determine which university-transferable courses to take at Langara.
Individual courses may not be transferable to some institutions. Consult the BC Transfer Guide to determine transferability of individual courses.
