Description
Life science students explore how physics principles apply to biological and health-related systems, developing tools to model static and moving fluids, oscillations, waves, sound, and light. They investigate how these concepts describe processes relevant to the life sciences. Through integrated study, students apply calculus-based reasoning to interpret and explain physical phenomena in nature and withinliving systems, and apply their learning interests to activities when possible.
Students will receive credit for only one of PHYS 1101 or 1125.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum "C" grade in Physics 12 or PHYS 1118, or a satisfactory score on the Physics Diagnostic Test; and a minimum "C-" grade in one of the following: MATH 1171, 1173 and 1183, 1175, or 1253 (MATH courses may be taken concurrently).
