Please note the following updates in BC’s Immunization Plan that may affect you.

Vaccination

All residents of BC (18+) are now eligible to register for vaccination*. People ages 16 –74 who are clinically extremely vulnerable and have received their patient invitation letter, and Indigenous people 18+ can also get vaccinated now. Vaccinations are continuing throughout the province and will soon be available to most of our campus community. Information on registration for notification, and when you will be eligible for the vaccine can be found at How to get vaccinated for COVID-19.

While we recognize that vaccination is a personal choice, we encourage you to sign-up in order to expedite your ability to get a vaccine appointment once you become eligible.

Important Health Reminders

  • If you have any cold or flu symptoms, do not come to campus. Individuals with symptoms are encouraged to get tested for COVID-19.
  • Limit non-essential visits to campus during this time. If you must come to campus, continue to complete the BC Thrive self-assessment every day without exception.
  • Before you come to campus, complete the COVID-19 Safety Awareness Course on Brightspace.
  • When on campus, continue to maintain physical distance as per our health and safety plans and wear a mask (including in classrooms). Please follow the cleaning protocols that have been customized for labs, classrooms, and shared spaces.

As always, your feedback and questions can be sent to us at covidquestions@langara.ca. Our updates for students can be found on langara.ca/covid.

We thank you for your continued cooperation and support in helping BC flatten the curve, and for keeping our College community safe.
