Langara’s Nursing Simulation Centre gives students hands-on experience with advanced simulation technology and realistic clinical scenarios before they begin placements. Guided by nursing faculty, students build the confidence and practice-ready clinical skills needed to contribute to B.C.’s healthcare system from day one.

Step inside Langara Nursing’s Simulation Centre, where advanced, high-fidelity mannequins and virtual simulation help students strengthen hands-on nursing skills and clinical decision-making experience before they enter placements.

In this video, nursing instructor, Mary Peters, and student, Tim Pham, take you inside the lab where “Maya,” a pediatric mannequin patient, brings a real clinical scenario to life. With close faculty guidance and feedback, students practice patient care, critical thinking, and real clinical decision-making in a supportive learning environment.

Practice-ready nursing care skills and confidence are built before students step into clinical placements, supporting B.C.’s healthcare system from day one.

That’s the Langara difference: advanced nursing simulation with hands-on decision-making and close faculty guidance that helps students graduate ready to contribute to B.C.’s healthcare system.
