Kick off your college journey with Orientation Activities and Events designed to help you thrive. Connect with fellow students, explore campus resources, and feel ready to tackle your first semester. Orientation is your launchpad for building friendships, finding support, and making the most of your time on campus. 

Orientation helps students connect with their peers, so we recommend that family members refrain from attending. 

We encourage parents and supporters to review Tips for Parents and Supporters for information on how to support your success and learn more about the College's resources. You’re an integral part of our active and supportive community. We want you to feel confident as you begin your first semester at Langara.

Registration 

New Student Orientation for Fall 2026 will be on Tuesday, September 1st and Wednesday, September 2nd. This event will be in-person and on-campus. For domestic students programming will be the same on both days, so choose whichever day works best for you! For international students, you are encouraged to attend on Wednesday, September 2nd as there will be an international student-specific session in the afternoon. 

You will need to register to attend an orientation event. All new students who are admitted and registered in at least one Fall 2026 course will automatically receive an email invitation to sign up for New Student Orientation. Students accepted but not yet registered for Fall 2026 will not receive this invitation until they have enrolled. The first round of invitations will go out in the first week of August. 

Note: Only students who have been accepted and registered in Fall 2026 classes will receive an email invitation to register. If you have been accepted to Langara but have not registered for Fall 2026 courses, you are not eligible to register for Orientation events.
