Derek Hodgkinson

Derek Hodgkinson is a project management professional with nearly 30 years of experience spanning engineering, consulting, and executive advisory roles. Beginning his career as a civil engineer before transitioning into project management, he has supported and advised Fortune 500 organizations as well as federal and provincial government agencies.

Derek’s experience covers a broad range of sectors, including aviation, transportation, health, maritime, and logistics. First as an employee and later as a consultant, he has delivered specialized project management solutions that help clients improve performance, strengthen governance, and achieve ambitious strategic outcomes. He has also taught project management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Derek holds Bachelor and Master of Applied Science degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. He is a retired Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
