This micro-credential provides hands-on training in managing financial information, processing transactions, and generating reports within an integrated business system. Whether you're beginning a career in accounting, enhancing your current role, or expanding your software skills, you'll gain experience using an industry-standard ERP platform.

No previous experience with Sage 300 is required. A basic understanding of accounting principles is recommended.

What You'll Learn

By the end of this micro-credential, you will be able to: 

  • Navigate Sage 300 and organize accounting data using Windows file management and ERP best practices.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and adjustments.
  • Manage accounts receivable by recording invoices, receipts, and customer adjustments.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries while retrieving and interpreting financial information using inquiry tools.
  • Generate and analyze key financial reports, including the Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Income Statement.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and understand how computerized accounting information systems support efficient business operations

Program Structure

  • The micro-credential includes two 6-week courses, so the program can be completed within one semester/four months
  • Courses are delivered online synchronously (via Zoom), with 3-hour evening classes once per week
