Counting Sheep Coffee co-creators Deland Jessop and Joseph Fernandes on Dragons’ Den

Counting Sheep Coffee co-creators Deland Jessop and Joseph Fernandes on Dragons’ Den.

Vancouver, BC – A Langara instructor has been selected to appear on an upcoming episode of Dragons’ Den, the popular CBC television show where aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business concepts and products to a panel of Canadian business moguls.

Deland Jessop, an instructor in the Langara School of Management, started Counting Sheep Coffee just over a year ago. The revolutionary coffee product blends a decaffeinated gourmet coffee with organic valerian root, a natural herbal sedative – good news for those looking to enjoy a cup of coffee in the evening and get a great night’s sleep.

“We are amazed at the feedback we are getting from our customers,” says Jessop. Being a teacher in Entrepreneurship, Jessop says his students are extremely excited about what is happening. He currently works with companies such as Alliance Brokers, UNFI, and Bed Bath and Beyond in the distribution and sales of the product.

In celebration of the Dragons’ Den episode, the Langara School of Management and Deland’s friends, family, and supporters are hosting an official live viewing party, and all are welcome to attend. The viewing party will be held March 19 at Boston Pizza, 1333 West Broadway. Event details can be found here.

The episode will air on Wednesday, March 19 at 8 pm on CBC Television, and following that, will be made available online at http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden
