Vancouver, BC - Studio 58, the nationally renowned professional theatre training program at Langara College, proudly presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s wild and wonderful comedy about the fickleness and joy of teenagers in love, fairies who vie for power and labourers who long to be actors....with a new twist. Set in a rural farming village in the Carpathian mountains, circa 1900, these woods are filled with ‘vampire’ fairies who taunt and terrorize all who wander there. Beware!

Fresh off his successful run in Avenue Q at the Arts Club, Scott Bellis dons his Director’s hat for A Midsummer Night’s Dream to open the 48th season at his alma mater, Studio 58. Joining him in creating a fantastical world where vampires and zombies roam are gifted songsmith and co-creator of the hit musical The Park, Anton Lipovetsky, powerhouse choreographer Tara Cheyenne Friedenberg, award-winning set designer Pam Johnson, inspired costume designer Naomi Sider, and lighting wizard Darren Boquist.
