Want to travel to Costa Rica this spring? Take a course alongside students from TEC University in Costa Rica and visit national parks to learn about what Costa Rica is doing in the area of nature conservation and sustainable development.
The Latin American Studies 1102: Trouble in Paradise course is offered in spring 2025 and has an optional GSO mini-Field School to Costa Rica over spring break.
- Experience first-hand tropical forest research, marine conservation and meet Indigenous people leading sustainable development initiatives in their communities.
- You must register for LAMS 1102 in November to be eligible for the Costa Rica trip with instructors.
- Registered students in LAMS 1102 will be forwarded the additional application forms for the Costa Rica GSO mini-Field School trip.
- Funding is available for domestic students to participate in this unique opportunity to learn about Latin American perspectives on the environment.
- There are no pre-requisites for LAMS 1102. Experience Costa Rica next February!
