School can be stressful. So, as part of De-stress Fest, we've organized some things for you. Below is a list of virtual and in-person workshops and events, as well as resources you can use on your own to help you get through exam period. All times are in PDT.

Build Your Own Wellness Kits | 11:30 am–1:30 pm | Breezeway outside of the Hub (A140)
Back by popular demand. Pick and pack supplies you need to keep you physically and mentally well. Bring your own reusable back for extra sustainability.

Managing Anxiety Workshop | 2:15 pm–3:15 pm | B153 | Pre-register as space is limited
Many Canadian post-secondary students are depressed, anxious, or undergoing other mental health challenges. This section of De-stress Fest focuses on anxiety and how to overcome it. We will talk about how anxiety impacts students, the damage of anxiety and shame on achieving goals, the importance of and how to gain more self-compassion, and practice practical coping skills to become a more resilient person.

This workshop provides the latest tips and strategies for how to prepare most effectively for final exams as well as tips for taking exams in-class and online.

RAIN – Drop-in Mindfulness Meditation | 10:45 am–12:00 pm | B031
Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, or overwhelm? Is it hard to find a moment of calm or clear-mindedness in your week? Join Langara Counsellors and fellow students for a guided mindfulness practice of RAIN - Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture. RAIN is a four-step practice that helps us take pause, find new perspective, and respond to the stress in our lives with greater calm, confidence, and clarity.

Virtual Jigsaw Puzzle Party | 1:00 pm–2:30 pm | Join in virtually
Join us online and solve a virtual jigsaw puzzle together. Connect on Zoom to enter prize draws and plan our puzzle solving strategy, or simply work on the puzzle on your own. Puzzle link will be provided in the Zoom meeting.
