Join Animal Logic's Dave Burgess and Kristen Anderson as they talk about how they stayed "LEGO Legal" while making The LEGO Movie 2.

Langara College's Centre for Entertainment Arts presents The LEGO Movie 2: Inspiration Through Limitations with Dave Burgess, Animation Supervisor, and Kristen Anderson, Art Director at Animal Logic. The speakers will walk you through the creative process they underwent with the Director to bring the unique shapeshifter Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi to life. They'll show you how they made a CG minifig move in the real world in the live action sequences of the film and you'll also learn how the film's colour script was used to represent key characters, Finn and Bianca, and the importance of colour when mapping our hero, Emmet’s, journey.

The Centre for Entertainment Arts is designed to give students the tools and real-world experiences that today’s creative industries are demanding. Advanced programs in 3D Animation, Visual Effects, and Game Design prepare students for a growing number of careers in the entertainment arts industry. Offered through Langara Continuing Studies, our entertainment arts programs are designed to equip you with a comprehensive toolbox of marketable skills that lead to success in the vibrant and growing entertainment arts industry.
