Langara is pleased to host the Vancouver District Science Fair for the 7th consecutive year.
The Vancouver District Science Fair is a district-wide event that students enrolled in grades 7-12 at all Vancouver public schools are invited to participate. With over 100 projects representing students from nearly 20 schools, the event showcases the scientific and creative minds of our city’s youth.
The fair enables students of all levels of scientific experience to share ideas with a wider community. Students devote countless hours to designing and conducting experiments on a vast array of topics, thereby applying the scientific method and becoming more scientifically literate. This event connects like-minded students from across Vancouver with and allows them to share their experiences.
Student projects are evaluated by a judging panel of local professionals, academic and industry researchers, and university graduate and undergraduate students. VDSF winners are selected to represent Vancouver at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair, held in April at UBC.
