Through hands-on training, you will learn to prepare and run samples, interpret data, troubleshoot results, and support accurate chemical identification and measurement.

This program is ideal if you have completed post-secondary general chemistry or the Applied Analytical Laboratory Skills micro-credential, and:
- Want to specialize in analytical chemistry techniques
- Work in or are entering industries that require advanced chemical analysis
Prior learning assessment based on workplace experience is available for applicants who are already employed in a related field and want to enhance their skill set.
What you’ll learn
By completing this micro-credential, you will be able to:
- Set up, operate, and maintain an HPLC instrument
- Prepare and run samples using Standard Operating Procedures
- Learn effective records management
- Apply privacy and data security principles including respect of Indigenous data sovereignty.
Program structure
- Format: In-person, part-time
- Length: Program duration is a minimum 3 months.
- Structure: 3 micro-courses with a total of 15 hours for each course
