Department of PsychologyAbout

The Department of Psychology has a dedicated faculty with diverse backgrounds and scholarly interests. We take pride in quality teaching and commitment to student success.

We offer a diverse program of first- and second-year psychology courses in traditional, mixed-mode, and online formats that cover a variety of topics and transfer directly to universities in British Columbia. When you study psychology at Langara, you will develop a better understanding of your own behaviour and the behaviour of others, as well as the methods psychologists use to study the human mind.

Faculty remain current in their areas of specialty, hold memberships to various scholarly and professional organizations, and publish their work in professional psychology journals as well as at local, national, and international conferences.

We value the opportunity to get to know our students well and are proud of our success in mentoring students toward their educational goals. We look forward to meeting you in the classroom
