Course Withdrawal Periods - Important Notice
September 28Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
October 26Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from regular semester courses.
November 16Last day to withdraw from Oct–Dec half-semester courses. To withdraw from an Oct–Dec half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.
Important Dates
June 13Log into the Student Information System on or after June 13 to activate your registration date and time. Your registration time is pre-assigned and is not impacted by when you activate your registration time.
June 17Fall Semester 2024 Registration Period 1 commences. Check the Registration Guide and Course Schedule for more information. 

Limited enrolment registration begins.
June 19International and Indigenous student registration begins. Students in career and limited enrolment programs may register into courses that may have been unavailable to them during their scheduled registration time.
June 24Arts and Science registration begins.
July 1College closed. Canada Day.
August 1Last day (before 2100 hours) for international students to defer their admission without losing the $1,500 commitment fee. To defer your admission, you must submit a deferral request form prior to 2100 hours.
August 5College closed. BC Day.
August 16

Fall semester bursary and scholarship applications available online (see Financial Aid).

 

FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE for Fall Semester 2024. Students must pay all fees before 2100 hours or they will be dropped from all of their registered courses at 2100 hours on August 21, 2024

August 21Students with an outstanding balance of $350 or more, students who do not meet prerequisite requirements or high school graduation requirements, or students placed on academic suspension will be dropped from all their registered courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
August 22Fall Semester 2024 Registration Period 2 begins. See Registration Access Schedule

Tuition fees for courses added during this period are due immediately following registration. Courses added during this period will not be dropped for non-payment of fees. Students remain liable for any fees owing. Any outstanding balances on or after September 11, 2024 will be subject to compounding interest and late payment charges (see Fees Information). Non-refundable fees must be paid, even if you have dropped your courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
September 2College closed. Labour Day. 

Last day to drop regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 3First day of classes for regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
September 5Last day to drop Sep–Oct half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 9Last day to add courses without department permission. 

Last day to drop regular semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 10First day for withdrawals for regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses. Students who do not want to continue in a course must withdraw from the course and will not receive a refund. A "W" will appear beside the course on their transcript.
September 11Interest and late payment charges will begin to be applied to outstanding accounts. Log into the Student Information System to check your student account for any outstanding fees.
September 13Deadline to submit fall semester bursary applications.
September 20Deadline to submit fall semester scholarship applications.
September 28Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
September 30College closed. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
October 7Last day for special approval registration overrides for Fall Semester 2024. Any registration requests after this date must be submitted in writing to registration@langara.ca, by both the student and department chair.
October 14College closed. Thanksgiving Day.
October 15Last day of classes for Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
October 16 & 17Final exams for Sep–Oct half-semester courses. 

GPA and CGPA will be updated when final grades are available at the end of term.
October 20Last day to drop Oct–Dec half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees). To drop from an Oct–Dec half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.
October 21First day of classes for Oct–Dec half-semester courses.
