Course Withdrawal Periods - Important Notice
September 30	Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
October 28	Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from regular semester courses.
November 18	Last day to withdraw from Oct–Dec half-semester courses. To withdraw from an Oct–Dec half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.

Important Dates
June 15	Log into the Student Information System on or after June 15 to activate your registration date and time. Your registration time is pre-assigned and is not impacted by when you activate your registration time.
June 19	Fall Semester 2023 Registration Period 1 commences. Check the Registration Guide and Course Schedule for more information. Limited enrolment registration begins.
June 21	International and Indigenous student registration begins. Students in career and limited enrolment programs may register into courses that may have been unavailable to them during their scheduled registration time.
June 26	Arts and Science registration begins.
July 1	College closed. Canada Day.
July 3	College closed. Canada Day (Observed).
July 31	Last day to apply for graduation in August.
August 1	Last day (before 2100 hours) for international students to defer their admission without losing the $1,500 commitment fee. To defer your admission, you must submit a deferral request form prior to 2100 hours.
August 18	Fall semester bursary and scholarship applications available online (see Financial Aid). FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE for Fall Semester 2023 . Students must pay all fees before 2100 hours or they will be dropped from all of their registered courses at 2100 hours on August 23, 2023.
August 23	Students with an outstanding balance of $295 or more, students who do not meet prerequisite requirements or high school graduation requirements, or students placed on academic suspension will be dropped from all their registered courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
August 24	Fall Semester 2023 Registration Period 2 begins. See Registration Access Schedule. Tuition fees for courses added during this period are due immediately following registration. Courses added during this period will not be dropped for non-payment of fees. Students remain liable for any fees owing. Any outstanding balances on or after September 13, 2023 will be subject to compounding interest and late payment charges (see Fees Information). Non-refundable fees must be paid, even if you have dropped your courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
September 4	College closed. Labour Day. Last day to drop regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 5	First day of classes for regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
September 7	Last day to drop Sep–Oct half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 11	Last day to add courses without department permission. Last day to drop regular semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
September 12	First day for withdrawals for regular semester and Sep–Oct half-semester courses. Students who do not want to continue in a course must withdraw from the course and will not receive a refund. A "W" will appear beside the course on their transcript.
September 13	Interest and late payment charges will begin to be applied to outstanding accounts. Log into the Student Information System to check your student account for any outstanding fees.
September 15	Deadline to submit fall semester bursary applications.
September 22	Deadline to submit fall semester scholarship applications.
September 30	College closed. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
October 2	College closed. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Observed).
October 7	Last day for special approval registration overrides for Fall Semester 2023. Any registration requests after this date must be submitted in writing to registration@langara.ca, by both the student and department chair.
October 9	College closed. Thanksgiving Day.
October 16 *Revised*	Last day of classes for Sep–Oct half-semester courses.
October 17 & 18 *Revised*	Final exams for Sep–Oct half-semester courses. GPA and CGPA will be updated when final grades are available at the end of term.
October 22 *Revised*	Last day to drop Oct–Dec half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees). To drop from an Oct–Dec half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.

February 26	First day of classes for Feb–Apr half-semester courses. Last day to add Feb–Apr half-semester courses. To add a Feb–Apr half-semester course, a request must be submitted in writing to registration@langara.ca (before 2100 hours), by both the student and department chair.
February 28	Last day to drop Feb–Apr half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees). To drop from your Feb–Apr half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.
February 29	First day for withdrawals from Feb–Apr half-semester courses. Students who do not want to continue in a course must withdraw from the course and will not receive a refund. A "W" will appear beside the course on their transcript.
March 2	Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from regular semester courses.
March 15	Last day to submit a late application for graduation in June. Graduation applications received after March 15, 2024 may not be processed in time for June convocation.
March 23	Last day to withdraw from Feb–Apr half-semester courses. To withdraw from a Feb–Apr half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.
March 25	Summer Semester 2024 Registration commences. Check Registration Guide and Course Schedule for more information.
March 29	College closed. Good Friday.
April 1	College closed. Easter Monday.
April 5	Last day of classes for regular semester courses and Feb–Apr half-semester courses.
April 9–20	Final exams for regular semester courses and Feb–Apr half-semester courses.
April 25	Spring Semester 2024 final grades available online.
April 30	Last day of the Spring Semester 2024.

SUMMER SEMESTER 2024 (202420) MAY–AUGUST
