Eligibility
To be eligible to apply to the program, you must be:
- 19 years of age or older prior to the program start date
- a resident of British Columbia
- a current or past student in a Regular Studies Program at Langara
- not on academic suspension at the time of application
Application process
Current and past Regular Studies Langara students must:
- complete and submit the Asia Field Studies Application Form by February 15, 2026
- once eligibility is confirmed, submit all required documents, including a non-refundable $500 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable unless a student is not accepted into the program or the program is cancelled.
- attend an interview with the program instructors
- if accepted, pay the remaining balance of the Field Study program fee by March 13, 2026 (exact date TBD), and the tuition and Student Union fees by April 21, 2026.
New domestic applicants to Langara must:
- check and confirm that you meet Langara’s admission requirements: Admissions: Apply to Langara
- submit your application and supporting documents to the college
Note: When completing your application, you should indicate that you want to be admitted into the open-enrollment, Associate of Arts or Associate of Science program (unless you are planning to continue as a Regular Studies student in another program at Langara, in which case, you should apply for admission to that program). - pay the application fee ($40 for domestic students)
- receive and accept your Offer of Admission and await your Letter of Acceptance
- once you have received your Letter of Acceptance, email a copy to globalengagement [at] langara.ca (globalengagement[at]langara[dot]ca)
