Thanks to technology and diversity, the world of journalism is ever expanding, making way for new forms of media and communication. More citizens are getting engaged, whether as consumers or generators of media, in their community and beyond. And, that’s always good news for democracy.

Langara Journalism’s part-time program is offering courses, at any interest and skill level, to those wishing to either explore their interest in the media or to those wanting to expand their participation in journalism.

Our instructors are well-regarded industry professionals with extensive knowledge of industry standards and expectations. They can not only teach the most current requirements in their field but can also advise on what’s trending. Students will have access to their frontline knowledge in these primarily hands-on courses.

Because our instructors work in the media, the courses are offered at different times, according to their availability. All the equipment and computer software used in the program are industry standard.
